5) Everyone seemed to like my first cutout, so I made a second one. It's a lot more intricate and I don't like it as much haha.

New Stuff

Here are my drawings from this week. They all have tons of problems but they're the best ones I got all week:(. Portfolio Day is next Saturday and I have almost nothing I'm happy enough to put in a portfolio yet.

My Poor Kitty :(

I had a terrible day today:(. I got up for school and was exhausted because I couldn't sleep last night. I got to school and slept during English class and then my French teacher was being a...meanie(trying to keep it clean:) ) like she usually is because she hates me since I always speak English in her class. That afternoon my friend and I started working on our art project of painting our history teacher's door. I was being a clutz and splattered black paint all over my favourite yellow sweatshirt:(. It's ruined now. Last block I had Physics class and the quiz was kind of hard but I worked my ass off on it because I was determined to do well (I got my first B of the year in Physics on the last quiz so I was mad>:( ). Anyways that's nothing compared to the news I got when I got home:(.

Lately my cat, Luke Skywalker :P, has been sneezing. So on Saturday my mom and I took him to the vet to get him checked out. The vet took a blood sample, gave him a shot and prescribed him some antibiotics to get rid of his cold. He told us he'd do some blood tests and he'd have the results in a couple days. So today when I got home my mom said she got the results back. She told me my cat has feline leukemia:(. Apparently it's like AIDS for cats, so his immune system is shot for the rest of his life basically. That means that if he gets sick at all, and we don't catch it right away, he could die:(. So now Luke's not aloud outside anymore so that he doesn't infect other cats and so he doesn't catch any illnesses. I feel bad for him because he loves being outside and he's been an outdoors cat for his whole life (he's 11). I was really upset after hearing this because although I know he's not in any immediate danger, he's one step closer to the thing I've feared for so long. :(

I don't know why I wrote this but I wanted to rant.

Here are some drawings from tonight and the night before. I said I'd post something unrelated to life drawing but I just haven't had any time lately. All these drawings have some mistakes, but overall I think a couple are pretty good. I'm making a mental log of the funny happenings on the Skytrain late at night going to and from drawing :P. I'll make sure to dedicate a post to those stories once I'm done drawing 'cause I'm sure there will be more haha. Anyways here they are:

CAT MASSAGE!

I found this video awhile back and I've showed it to alot of people because it's so funny it makes me cry:P. It's the best video on the internet. Even if there is a funnier video, this still remains the best tutorial on how to properly massage your cat :). So I'm posting it to spread the joy farther! 2 posts in one day!

Drawings From Last Week

Here are some of my favourite drawings from the last week. I went drawing 4 times. The Sunday session was with 2 female models dressed up in ringette gear. I didn't get any drawings I liked that day though because it was hard to draw the models fully clothed and on top of that I'd only had 3 hours of sleep the night before. I went see a triple feature on Saturday night with some friends. The 3 movies were Law Abiding Citizen (it's crap and avoid it if you can), Inglorious Basterds (I loved this one! Who doesn't like to see Nazis getting killed!? I think it's Tarantino's best movie after Pulp Fiction), and Zombieland (which was pretty great too). The best part was it was only $10:)...but I was hopeless the next day for drawing since the movies didn't end until 7AM. Anyways here are the drawings I mentioned earlier. A couple are portfolio contenders at the moment but I won't say which because I'd like to know what everyone else thinks without my input clouding their judgement:).

I've also noticed how almost everything I post is life drawings so I'll try updating soon with some other stuff that's not so repetitive.
